70 NATIONS REVEAL SALES, PURCHASES OF WEAPONS

In an unprecedented step, at least 70 nations, including China and Russia, have accounted to the United Nations for the weapons they bought and sold last year in the global arms bazaar.

The governments reporting to the new U.N. Conventional Arms Register represent less than half the world body's 184 members, but they include the biggest weapons exporters and many big importers. - Associated Press
