OBIT FERRIS, JEWELL MAYBERRY

FERRIS, Jewell Mayberry, 91, of Salem, died Wednesday, July 28, 1993. She was the oldest living member of the Salem Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kennis Ferris. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harley E. and Alice Ferris, Leland, N.C.; daughter, Eunice Ferris of Wilmington, Del.; sister, Doris Pruitt, of Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at Sherwood Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Wilkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 2224 South Jefferson St., Roanoke, Va. 24014. Arrangements by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
