OBIT SHAVER, GLADYS VIRGINIA
SHAVER, Gladys Virginia 71, of Gold Bond, Va. died Wednesday evening, July
28, 1993, in a Pearisburg hospital. Born in Giles County she was a daughter of
the late Frederick and Maude Neice Martin. Surviving are her husband, Raymond
Shaver; three sons, James L. Shaver of Princeton, W. Va., Roger L. Shaver of
Pearisburg, Va., Danny Dale Shaver of Bassett, Va.; two daughters, Martha S.
Davidson of Pembroke, Va. and Diane Towsey of Mineral, Va.; four brothers,
Junior Martin of Rocky Mount, Va., Kermit Martin of Christiansburg, Va., Jimmy
Martin of Gold Bond, Va., and Curtis Martin of Rich Creek, Va.; seven sisters,
Susie Merrix, Marie Snider, Linda Perkins all of Gold Bond, Agatha Sanders of
Pembroke, Bonnie Robertson of Radford, Va., Juanita Lovern of Dublin, Va.,
Lila Mae Neice of Rocky Mount, Va.; seven grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren and one step-grandson. Funeral services will be conducted
Sunday in the Kendall Funeral Chapel in Pembroke at two o'clock p.m. with the
Rev. Junior Holt officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park at
Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9
p.m. Saturday.
