OBIT WARREN, NANCY ANNE HELDRETH

WARREN, Nancy Anne Heldreth, of Marion, passed away July 28, 1993, in The Smyth County Community Hospital. Nancy was the daughter of the late Frank Olen Heldreth and Angie Weaver Heldreth. She was born in Rural Retreat, Va., and spent her childhood in Norton, Va. She graduated from Rural Retreat High School and Marion College. She taught Sunday School and held various offices in her church, The First United Methodist Church of Marion. She also served on the Governor's Advisory Board on Aging. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy L. Warren, Marion; a daughter, Cheryl L. Warren, Rural Retreat; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian K. and Maria Ely Warren, Knoxville, Tenn., Mark F. Warren, Marion; grandson, Kevin Logan Warren, Knoxville, Tenn.; brother, Joseph F. Heldreth, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 1993, 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Marion, Va., with the Rev. J. N. Howard and the Rev. Glenn O. Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens in Rural Retreat, Va. Friends may call at the family home, 290 Panorama Drive, Marion, Va., at any time or at the First United Methodist Church in Marion from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 30, 1993. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smyth Co. Cancer Society or the Angie Heldreth-Nancy Warren Music Scholarship Fund at Rural Retreat High School. Donations for same may be sent to Harold L. Blevins Jr., Trust Officer, Bank of Marion. Lindsey Funeral Home in Rural Retreat, is in charge of the arrangements.
