Because of an editorial assistant's error, an incorrect time was listed in Friday's Calendar of Events for "The Long Way Home" historical drama in Radford. The play begins at 8:30 p.m.

Because of a reporter's error, the nickname of Fred Max "Buck" Walker, of Draper, was reported incorrectly in a story Friday.

A performance by the Salem High School band that was aired Thursday morning was taped on June 23. A story Friday gave an incorrect date, because of errors by both a reporter and an editor.

In a Washington Post article in Thursday's paper about the growing AIDS infection rate among young women, the proportion of those in the Job Corps who are HIV-positive was understated. The rate is 4.2 women per 1,000 and 2.4 men per 1,000, according to a recent study.
