MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES IN RADFORD

Karate and kung fu are two new classes being offered in August by the Radford Recreation Department.

The karate class is derived mainly from the Shito-Ryu style of karate from Okinawa, Japan. The youth class will meet Monday and Wednesday at 4:30-5:30 p.m. and the adult class Wednesday at 5:30-6:30 p.m. Both classes will be at the recreation department. The registration fee is $25.

The kung fu class will cover the techniques of Shaolin kung fu as well as a study of the martial arts philosophy. The class for adult and youths will meet Monday and Wednesday, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the recreation department. The cost is $25.
