RICHMOND AD WILL LEAD YANKEE CONFERENCE

Richmond athletic director Chuck Boone has been appointed executive director of the Yankee Conference. Boone, selected by the athletic directors of member schools, succeeds Al Benson, who will remain as the league's head of officials. Boone, a former football and baseball standout at Richmond, has been the school's athletic director since 1977.

The Yankee Conference office will relocate from Centerville, Mass., to the University of Richmond. Other member schools are Delaware, Villanova, William and Mary, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, James Madison, Connecticut, Northeastern, Maine, Boston University and Rhode Island.
