OBIT PAYNE, WILLIE JAMES

PAYNE, Willie James, 77, of Route 2, Galax, died Sunday, August 1, 1993, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Roberts Payne, Galax; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Rex and Lucille Payne, Roanoke; a sister, Mabel Jo Frost, Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Elmer Payne, Hampton, Ralph Payne, Seminole, Fla. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 1993, Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, with Rev. Randy Key, Rev. Vinton Quesenberry and Rev. Randy Garner officiating. Military rites will be performed at the graveside by Hillsville VFW Post #1115. Interment will be in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
