OBIT LOWE, CARL BROOKS SR.
LOWE, Carl Brooks Sr., 77, of the 200 block of Peninsula Ave., Portsmouth,
Va., died Monday, August 2, 1993, at his home. He was a native of Walton,
W.Va. He was a retired manager of C. A. Nash, Inc., Norfolk, Va. He was an
Army veteran of World War II and a past president of Flynn Christian
Fellowship, Portsmouth. He is survived by his wife, Eva H. Lowe; five
daughters, Elaine Drewry Grim of Troutville, Brenda Heuneman of Chesapeake,
Marilyn Hall of Portsmouth, Janet Wern of New Bern, N.C., Nancy Ferebee of
Falls Church; one son, Carl B. Lowe Jr. of Portsmouth; one sister, Faye Long
of Alcoa, Tenn.; two brothers, Earl G. Lowe of Spencer, W.Va., Harry Lowe of
Carson City, Mich.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. A graveside
service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 1993, at 1 p.m., in Greenlawn
Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, by the Rev. R. Eugene Larkin. Burial in
Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home,
Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Contributions may be
made to the Salvation Army, Portsmouth.
