"He saw me standing there, and he started to sing, `I wish I was in the land of cotton . . . ' and he looked at Senator [Orrin] Hatch and said, `I'm going to make her cry. \ Chess legend Bobby Fischer's next opponent could be a 17-year-old Hungarian girl who's more of a prodigy than he was. Fischer, who made headlines last year with his rematch against Boris Spassky, was in Budapest, Hungary, for a match against the world's top female player. State TV said the former world champion arrived amid talk of a possible match against 17-year-old chess whiz Judit Polgar.
Laszlo Polgar, Judit's father and manager, was quoted by the Budapest sports daily as saying conditions for a match had been agreed to.
Judit beat Fischer's record by one month as the youngest player ever to qualify for the international grandmaster classification, doing so at the age of 15 years and five months.
