EASTHOM-DE BECK

Laurinda Gail de Beck and James Robert Easthom were married Saturday, August 7, 1993 at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, N.C. The Reverend Michael Poulos performed the ceremony, assisted by Dr. John A. Redhead, Jr. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Greensboro Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Laurinda King de Beck of Greensboro, North Carolina and Dr. Thomas Wade de Beck of Wilmington, North Carolina. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Huger S. King of Greensboro, N.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Oscar de Beck of Washington, D.C. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mack Easthom of Roanoke, Va. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Otis Gilbert Easthom of Terre Houte, Indiana and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Baratta of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The bride graduated from Davidson College and holds a masters degree in counseling from the University of South Carolina. She is currently taking classes at American University in preparation for medical school. The groom graduated from Duke University and the School of Law of the University of Virginia and is working at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore her mother's dress of ivory silk and Belgian lace and a family heirloom veil of princesse and rose point lace. She had as her maid of honor her sister, Dr. Karla Lynn de Beck of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Bridesmaids were the bride's cousin, Mary Kim King of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; two sisters of the groom, Mrs. Frank Lombardi of Westminster, Maryland and Mrs. Mark Cates of Ellicott City, Maryland; Mrs. Dan McKeithen of Charlotte, North Carolina; Mrs. Chris Hess of Alexandria, Virginia.

The groom's best man was his brother, Karl David Easthom of Pasadena, Maryland. Other groomsmen were his two brothers-in-law, Mark Cates of Ellicott City, Maryland and Frank Lombardi of Westminster, Maryland; the bride's brother, Christian Thomas de Beck of Atlanta, Georgia; Matthew Bennet Pachman of Arlington, Virginia. Ushering with the groomsmen were the bride's uncles, Dr. Lunsford Richardson King of Davidson, North Carolina, Michael Lowndes King of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and Huger Sinkler King, Jr. of Greensboro, NorthCarolina.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will live in Alexandria, Virginia.
