Karen Michelle Jenkins and William Bryan Harvey were married August 7, 1993 at Lynn Haven Baptist Church, Vinton.

Rev. Ken Nienke officiated. Thereception followed at Vinton WarMemorial.

The bride is the daughter of William and Joyce Jenkins of Vinton. She was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. The groom is the son of James Harvey, Sr. and Sandra Whitley of Salem.

The bride wore a Peau-de-soire satin gown designed and made by her mother.

The bridesmaids were Kaye Amos, Randi Edler, Marce Fackler, RhondaGillespie, Tammy Newcomb, AlicePennix and Debby Stanley. Juniorbridesmaid was Danielle Whitley.Flowergirls were Kaitlyn Barnett, Ashley Jenkins and Courtney Lantz. JamesHarvey, Sr., served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Mike Decker,Jimmy Harvey, Bill Jenkins, Jr., Mark Lantz, John Lowe, Scott Wade, Richie Waggoner and Mike Whitley. Ringbearer was Brian Jenkins.

The bride is a graduate of Roanoke College and Virginia Tech. The groom is a senior at Roanoke College.

After a wedding trip to St. Martin, the couple will reside in Salem.
