JOHNSON-KING

Shelly Lynne King and Daniel DeWitt Johnson were married on August 7, 1993, at the Red Hill Church of the Brethren with Reverend G. Ernest Deyerle II officiating. A reception followed in the church Fellowship Hall.

The maid of honor was Tessie Neff, friend of the bride, from Harrisonburg, Va. Bridesmaids were Sarah Ann Craft, Misty King, both cousins of the bride, Sarah King, sister-in-law of the bride, and Caroline Overfelt, friend of the bride, all from Roanoke.

David Johnson, brother of the groom, from Virginia Beach, Va., served as best man. The groomsmen were Lawrence Harper, cousin of the groom, from Lynchburg, Va., John King III, brother of the bride, Lewis Craft, Jr., and Terry King, both cousins of the bride, from Roanoke, Va.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. King, Jr., of Boones Mill, Va. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Bridgewater College and is employed by Allstate Insurance Company. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey D. Johnson of Lynchburg, Va., is a graduate of E. C. Glass High School and Old Dominion University, and is employed as a teacher at Franklin County High School.

After a dinner reception held on the bride's parents lawn, the newlyweds left for a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls and Canada. They will reside in Boones Mill.
