MAN ESCAPES FROM BEDFORD JAIL

Bedford County authorities were searching Sunday for a man who escaped from custody as he was being processed at the county jail Saturday afternoon.

Larry Jackson had been picked up by Bedford City Police to face armed robbery charges in New Jersey.

He reportedly escaped through an unlocked door at the jail.

Jackson, 23, was described as dangerous by Sheriff Carl Wells.
