Pam Seals, 37, bar manager at Malio's in Tampa, Fla., has refused to give interviews except for one published by the National Enquirer this week.
Her attorney, Joseph H. Ficarrotta, called her a "down-to-earth" woman who feels overwhelmed by her newfound celebrity. He said Monday that the former pro football cheerleader isn't after Reynolds' wallet.
"She's not a gold digger," Ficarrotta said. "I think they've got a very deep relationship."
Seals' employer, Malio Iavarone, said she probably wasn't bowled over by Reynolds' fame because celebrities frequent the bar. But he thinks he knows why Reynolds fell for her. "She's really a basic person, kind of a country girl," he said. "She's first-class. She's very simple, and he's not used to that."
Reynolds, 57, and Loni Anderson, 47, married in 1988. They recently announced divorce plans.
The Statler Brothers and the Mandrell sisters are feuding, but it's nothing personal.
They'll face off Thursday for a taping of television's "Family Feud" at Opryland in Nashville.
The brothers chose singer Brenda Lee as their "Statler-Sister-for-a-Day," because they needed a fifth player.
Country singers Barbara, Louise and Irlene Mandrell recruited their parents to fill out their team.
Five shows will be taped for broadcast.
A judge in Los Angeles awarded the wife of former "Cheers" star Kelsey Grammer $7,500 a month in support Monday while the couple pursue an annulment or divorce after less than a year of marriage.
Leigh Anne Grammer, a former exotic dancer, had asked for $25,000 a month, the actor's attorney said.
