OBIT BOONE, MYRTLE BASHAM

BOONE, Myrtle Basham, 89, of Roanoke County, died Tuesday, August 10, 1993. She was a charter member of Red Hill Church of the Brethren and was the widow of James Otey Boone. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Barry Wayne King. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Bennie and Faye Boone, Bobby and Sandra Boone, Harold (Lucky) Boone, Richard and Jeanne Boone, Charles Boone; her daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Clinton King, Nancy and Jim Fleshman, Shirley and William Overfelt, Faye and Kenny Gibson, Carol and Jack Simmons, all of Roanoke County; a brother, Ernest Basham, Salem; two half sisters, Virginia Dobbins, Roanoke; May Day Hall, Floyd County; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Red Hill Church of the Brethren, Thursday, August 12, 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ernie Deyerle II officiating. Interment in Martin Cemetery, Roanoke County. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.
