OBIT DEVAULT, CHARLES COOPER
DeVAULT, Charles Cooper, Col., 80, of Marion, died Tuesday, August 10, 1993
in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. Col. DeVault
was retired from the United States Army, serving in World War II. He was a
member of the Marion VFW Post #4667, serving on the Honor Guard. He attended
Emory & Henry College and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Carroll DeVault, Marion; one sister, Erma
DeVault Darden, Emory; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will
be held Thursday, August 12, 1993, 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Dr. J.
N. Howard and Rev. Kathie Wilson-Parker officiating. Burial will follow in
Holston Conference Cemetery in Emory. The family will receive friends
Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown
Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
