14 CARS JUMP TRACKS AS GRAIN TRAIN DERAILS

A CSX train carrying 109 cars of grain derailed Monday, sending 14 cars off the tracks and spilling corn and debris.

No one was injured in the 1 a.m. derailment. CSX spokeswoman Kathy Burns said the train derailed because of a roller-bearing failure on the 89th car.

Damage to the tracks, cars and signaling equipment was estimated at $200,000.
