A story in Tuesday's paper about the death of Paul Rice, one of the "Five Smart Boys" of Roanoke College's basketball fame in the 1930s, should have said Rice had been in the U.S. Navy, according to a caller to the newspaper who said he served with Rice. Information that he had been in the Army was taken from a previous story published in the Roanoke Times & World-News.
