OBIT-RAGLAND, STANLEY R.

RAGLAND, Stanley R., 63, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, August 12, 1993, in a local hospital, after a short illness. He was retired from the National Asbestos Workers Union (Local 100); and is survived by his wife, Evelyn C. Ragland; three daughters, Pamela R. Mabe, Catherine M. Ragland, both of Roanoke, Deborah R. Thompson, Blue Ridge; a son, Stanley Randolph Ragland II, Roanoke; two granddaughters; three grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Ruth R. Smith, Richmond; two brothers, Leonard E. Ragland, Vinton, Gerald D. Ragland, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's South Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Branan Thompson Jr. and Rev. Laney Mofield officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
