FRENCH-KETTERER

Janet Lynn Ketterer and R. Duane French were married August 14, 1993, in St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Rev. Vernon Miller and Rev. Pete Mullins performed the ceremony. The reception was held at The Farmhouse Restaurant. The maid of honor was Linda Leach, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Darla Laudermilk, sister of the groom, Jennifer Ketterer, sister-in-law of the bride, and Melinda Gobble, friend of the bride. The best man was Matt Delashmitt, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Chris Lingerfelt, John Irvin, and Scott Osborne, friends of the groom. Ushers were Jim Ketterer, brother of the bride, and Eric Laudermilk, brother-in-law of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Stephanie Howell, friend of the bride. The rehearsal dinner was given by the mother of the groom at Christiansburg Presbyterian Church catered by Country Kitchen. The wedding director was Janet Lamb, and reception director was Lillian Kinzie. Assistants/hostesses were Sally Leach, Cindy Korinko, Shelda Wills, and Linda Gallaher. Vocalists were Melissa Gunter and Chuck McHose, and organist was Eric Burlingame. The bride's gown was candlelight ivory satin with a sabrina neckline and an open back with accented pearl cluster, and chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of star-gaze lilies, white roses, and carnations accented with white baby's breath, pearls and ivy cascading over it. The bride is a daughter of Peter and Virginia Ketterer, of Christiansburg. She graduated from Christiansburg High School, East Tennessee State University, and has her bachelor's degree in social work. The groom is a son of Mrs. Shelby Jean French and the late Robert L. French, of Athens, Tenn. He graduated from McMinn County High School, East Tennessee State University, and is employed by Kmart Fashions. After the wedding trip to the Bahamas, the newlyweds will live in Pikeville, Kentucky.
