LANE-TILT

Sarah Holmes Tilt, daughter of Captain (USN) and Mrs. Thomas W. Tilt, of New Orleans, formerly of Virginia Beach and Springfield, and Joseph John Lane, son of Lieutenant Colonel (USMC, Retired) and Mrs. Donald A. Lane, of Manassas, were married Sunday, June 6, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Manassas with the Rev. Stuart Schadt officiating at the ceremony.

The maid of honor was Elizabeth Ellen Tilt, M.D., of Virginia Beach, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jill Kruper, of Murray, Kentucky, and Jill Sexton, of Roanoke.

The best man was Lieutenant Colonel Lane, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Bill Harvey, of Miami Beach, Florida, and Shiloh Enriquez, of Manassas. Ushers were Chris Bryant, of Elktown, Maryland, Ash Lough, of Roanoke, and Patrick Stevens, of Versailles, Kentucky.

The reception was held at historic Cabell's Mill in Fairfax County.

The bride graduated with honors from Hollins College in Roanoke where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She is employed by Burns, Doane, Swecker and Mathis in Alexandria. Mrs. Lane is the niece of Ms. Carolyn Stanley-Tilt, of Roanoke.

The groom is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington and is employed by Health Management Strategies, Inc. in Alexandria. In September he will attend Johnson and Wales University of Culinary Arts in Virginia Beach.

After a wedding trip to Canada and Maine, the couple currently resides in Alexandria.
