MANN-THOMPSON

Kristen Love Thompson and Derek Todd Mann were united in marriage on August 14, 1993 at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Philip L. Martin with the Rev. Rex Brooks officiating. A pool reception was held on Bason Road in Mebane, N.C.

Deanna Pope, friend, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kimberly Journell Ashley and Karen Journell Allen, sisters of the bride; Jennifer Cozart, Julie Ferns, Carla Soule, Mary Ann Martin, Sy Thong Vannavong and Melissa Pope, all friends of the bride. The flower girls were Erin Hope Journell of Vinton, niece of the bride; and Megan Warren, niece of the groom; Willard Mann served as his son's best man. The ushers were Mike Kimber, Tommy King, Eddie Coble, Curtis Clark, Brandon Johnson, Obira Griggs, Brandon Griggs and Justin Moody, all friends of the groom. Tonya Warren was theguestbook attendant.

Kristen is the daughter of Norris B. and JoAnne Fleeman Thompson ofMebane, N.C. and the granddaughter of Mrs. James Fletcher of Pembroke, Va. and the late Norris and Ida LoveThompson of Roanoke. She attended UNC Charlotte and Alamance CommunityCollege. Derek is the son of Margaret Griffin and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Mann of Mebane, N.C. He attended LouisburgCollege.
