OBIT YOUNG, WILLIAM E. (POOCHIE)

YOUNG, William E. (Poochie), 55, of Glade Hill, died Friday, August 13, 1993 in Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin County May 3, 1938, the son of the late William Clark Young and Rachel D. Cooper and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Silis S. Davis. Surviving are his wife, Mary Mitchell Selenais (Lena) Young, of the home; three daughters, Dawn Young, Wirtz, Lisa Young Treadway, Stoneville, N. C., Tammy Y. Hernandez, Wirtz; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ann Young, Rocky Mount; halfbrother, Coy Cooper, Chester; mother and stepfather, Rachel D. and Frank Cooper, Chester; grandmother, Erna Davis; special brother-in-law, James D. Meeks. Also surviving are nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, August 16, 1993 at Lynch Chapel by the Rev. William Doss and Rev. Belle Robertson, with interment to follow in High Street Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
