RELATING TO JESSICA'S TEARS

MY DAUGHTER took one look at your front-page photo on Aug. 3 of weeping toddler Jessica and exclaimed, ``She's being kidnapped!`` I wonder where the pro-lifers have been, with their advocacy of adoption? This makes a mockery of the rule of law.

Three cheers for Sandra O'Connor and Harry Blackmun, the only two justices who used their hearts as well as their heads.
