JOB LISTINGS NOT DISCOVERED

I READ with interest the Discovery supplement in the Aug. 1 Roanoke Times & World-News. This annual section provides readers with a plethora of information about the Roanoke Valley.

You covered everything from the airport to the zoo. You listed all of the elected officials by name, along with tax data for the respective governments of the area. You told readers where they could go to obtain a library book, get medical treatment, rent an apartment, shop, dine, bank or play golf. You even provided readers with generous information on the many civic organizations of the valley, as well as mentioning our exceptional fine-arts activities.

There was, however, one glaring omission from this worthy publication.

It failed to tell recent high-school or college graduates where we might find a job, now or in the future, in this great valley.
