PRILLAMAN DISQUALIFIED FROM NRVS RACE

Kenny Prillaman was disqualified from Saturday's Late Model Stock race at New River Valley Speedway because his engine was set back too far.

The Salem driver finished second to Ronnie Thomas in the feature race of the Miller Genuine Draft/J93.5 FM 200. Dick Goodwin moved up to second and points-leader Paul Radford was placed third.

Completing the top five were Brad Teague and Brian Meadows. Jeff Agnew, who had been listed as the fifth-place finisher, was dropped to sixth after a review of videotapes by track officials showed he had lost a lap as a result of his accident on lap 99.

Modified Mini driver Allen Willard was treated and released from Radford Community Hospital for burns on his face and hands. Willard was taken from the track after his car caught fire on lap 16 of the 25-lap race. - Staff report
