CHRISTIANSBURG MAN IS TOP PERFORMER AT GALAX

John Hollandsworth of Christiansburg won Best All Around Performer at the 58th Annual Old Fiddlers Convention in Galax, which ended early Sunday. Hollandsworth, who also took first in the autoharp competition, earned the highest score among about 800 contestants in 11 categories.

For his double win, Hollandsworth took home $245 of the $12,500 awarded in the individual and band competitions. Here are the other results in the Aug. 11-14 convention:
