OBIT JONES, WILLIE B.(BILL)

JONES, Willie B.(Bill), 85, of Roanoke, died Saturday, August 14, 1993. He was a former employee of the American Viscose Corporation and retired from Singer Furniture. He was a member of the U.C.T. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie L. Jones, five brothers, and two sisters. Surving are his wife, Nellie Martin Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Gary G. and Patricia L. Jones, Vinton; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle J. and William A. Thomasson, Goodview; three grandchildren, Dean Jones and his wife Denise, Vinton, Missy Smith and Scott Thomasson, Roanoke; a great-grandchild, Logan Jones; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, with Rev. Carter L. Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
