OBIT PERDUE, MARY ELIZABETH

PERDUE, Mary Elizabeth, 88, of Roanoke, died Sunday, August 15, 1993. Mrs. Perdue was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene on Highland Ave., S.E. Surviving are her husband, Willie Clay ("Bill") Perdue; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Charlie Scott, Roanoke; a daughter-in-law, Pauline Reed, Check; three sisters, Rachel Conner, Shawsville, Ruby King, Bent Mountain, Bonnie Goff, Check; a brother, Raymond Conner, Georgia; a granddaughter, Carolyn McPeak, Hardy; two grandsons, Terry Reed, William Reed, both of Roanoke; two great-grandchildren, Ken Reed, Aaron Reed. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 1993, at Sherwood Memorial Park, with the Rev. L. E. Humrich officiating. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
