LANE, Alia C., 99, of Christiansburg, died Monday evening, August 16, 1993 in a Blacksburg health care center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiley C. Lane and a son, Warren Lane. Surviving are two daughters, Iva Miller, Christiansburg, Gladys Goodwin, Salem; two sons, John B. Lane, Roanoke, and Rockford Lane of Eden, N.C.; two sisters, Hattie Thompson, Gladbrook, Iowa, Jennie Hurt, Carthage, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Roy Whitescarver. Interment will be in Sherwood Burial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
