UW `DAY OF CARING' SCHEDULED SEPT. 9

More than 100 Montgomery County and Radford residents will get together the afternoon of Sept. 9 for United Way's Day of Caring 1993. Volunteer participants will spend the afternoon working on projects for United Way agencies serving the county and the city.

Among the approximately 20 projects that participants will work on are building a Habitat for Humanity storage building, delivering Means on Wheels, entering computer data for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and helping out at an American Red Cross bloodmobile.

Many volunteers have been given time off from their jobs to take part in "Day of Caring 1993."

Volunteers will be treated to a United Way campaign kickoff dinner on the lawn in front of Corning plant.

To find out how to participate in Day of Caring 1993, call Kymn Davidson-Hamley at the United Way of Montgomery County and Radford, 381-2066.
