MINING INSTITUTE SCHEDULED AT TECH

The 24th Annual Institute on Mining Health, Safety and Research will be held at Virginia Tech Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

The conference is for the coal, metal and quarrying industries and is intended to impart a greater understanding of mining health and safety.

Sessions on risk management, environmental issues, safety and training will be presented. The conference is sponsored by Virginia Tech, the Mine Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Bureau of Mines, and will be held at the Donaldson Brown Center for Continuing Education.
