OBIT DOOLITTLE, CLIFFORD
DOOLITTLE, Clifford, 85, of Vero Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, August 18,
1993, at Indian River Memorial Hospital. Clifford was born July 30, 1908, in
Elmira, N.Y. He was employed for many years by Cleanese Corporation of America
in various capacities; and was comptroller in Williamsport, Pa. as well as
Pearisburg, Va. where he was active in many community affairs. Mr. Doolittle
was general manager of the Caracas, Venezuela operation for seven years. He
was a 32 degree Mason and a 50 years member. He is survived by his wife of 63
years, Grace; son, James A. Doolittle of Vero Beach; daughter, Beverly D.
Stafford of Troutville, Va.; three grandchildren, Glenn Stafford and Debora S.
Wright both of Virginia and Linda S. Salyer of Maryland; two
great-grandchildren, Meredith Stafford and Elliot Salyer. Funeral services
will be held Monday, August 23, 1993, at 2:30 p.m. in the mausoleum at
Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, Va., followed by a Masonic Service at
3:00 p.m. at the graveside. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donation be
made to Giles Masonic Lodge #0106; Pearisburg, Va. 24134 or to the charity of
one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford Funeral
Home.
