ROANOKE MAN MISSING; HAS ALZHEIMER'S

His family and neighbors are looking for a man with Alzheimer's disease who has been missing since 10 a.m. Thursday.

Johnnie Willie Clark, 67, hasn't been seen since he wandered away from his home at 1224 Thomas Avenue N.W.

The Rev. Charles Green, president of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and a friend of the family, is helping with the search.

Fliers distributed throughout the neighborhood say Clark is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs just over 200 pounds.

He was wearing a gold shirt, khaki slacks, a white hat and white shoes when last seen.

The fliers say Clark suffers from memory loss and may be disoriented. Green said Clark may not be able to give his name.

His daughter, Kathy Shipman, said Clark simply disappeared from the house.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call his family at 344-4538. His wife is Margie Clark.

In the alternative, anyone who finds Clark can call the police, who are also searching for him.
