OBIT MASON, ROSE MARIE CLARKE
MASON, Rose Marie Clarke, 58, passed away in St. Francis Nursing Home in
Pittsburgh, Penn. on Sunday morning, August 22, 1993. She was the daughter of
the late Claude L. Clarke Sr. and Lillie Payne Clarke. She was born in Gary,
W.Va. As a young woman, she was married to George Reginald (`Shorty`) Price,
and they were the parents of three children. She later moved to Pittsburgh and
was married to William Henry Mason and their combined families totaled eight
children. Survivors include her husband, William Mason of Pittsburgh, Penn.;
two sons, George R. (Peggy) Price of Charlotte, N.C. and Mark (Joni) Price of
Pittsburgh, Penn.; one daughter, Arlette Lavonne (George) Jones of Pittsburgh,
Penn.; four stepsons, Billy, Freddie, Ronnie and Gerard Mason; one
stepdaughter, Alice Mason; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marilyn
(Cecil) Curtis of Roanoke and Mrs. Lillie Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; two
brothers, Claude L. Clarke Jr. of San Francisco, Calif. and Robert (`Bobby`)
Clarke of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the
Nazarene Baptist Church, 7053 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, Penn. 15208.
Reverend Ricky Burgess will officiate, with burial in Homewood Cemetery.
Warden Funeral Home, 1100 North Homewood Avenue, Pittsburgh, Penn. is handling
