ROBERTSON GROUP PLANS FITNESS NETWORK

International Family Entertainment Inc., parent of cable television's The Family Channel, plans to launch a cable network devoted to health and fitness.

Earl Weirich, an IFE spokesman, said The Cable Health Club will be launched Oct. 4 in association with Body By Jake Inc., whose Jake Steinfeld is the star of The Family Channel's "Big Brother Jake" situation comedy.

The new channel will offer around-the-clock programs on keeping fit, living a healthy life and eating right.

"The Cable Health Club is designed to be your personal health club at home," said Tim Robertson, IFE's chief executive officer. - Associated Press
