OBIT JENNINGS, DOLLIE GRANT

JENNINGS, Dollie Grant, 98, of Buena Vista, died August 23, 1993, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born June 27, 1895 in Montibello, the daughter of the late Skyler P. and Lucy Bell Grant. She was the widow of Bernard L. Jennings. Surviving are two daughters, Ruby Humphries and Evelyn Slough, both of Buena Vista; four sisters, Ida Grant, Staunton, Effie Morris, Nellie Plumb and Katherine Fitzgerald, all of Waynesboro; three brothers, Searson Grant, Paul Grant and Clarence Grant, all of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Chip Pendleton and the Rev. Warren Grant. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or Buena Vista Rescue Squad.
