GET OK BEFORE POSTING NOTICES

Ask before you staple that handbill.

Assistant Town Manager Bonnie Svrcek would like to remind citizens that the Town Code prohibits notices and advertisements on any building, wall, fence and property of another person, or on utility poles, meter posts and trees without the permission of the property owner. This includes placing handbills on vehicles.

"The posting of handbills increases litter and detracts from the community's cleanliness," Svrcek said in a news release. "Taping or stapling also damages paint and other finishes. Please help keep the community clean and attractive."
