OBIT-POWERS, HENRY WOOLING ("WOOL")

POWERS, Henry Wooling ("Wool"), 89, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 1993. He was a retired employee of the N & W Railway, with 48 years of service. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie R. and Arlene R. Powers, Roanoke; a daughter, Helen Douffas, Roanoke; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Patricia Wax and Calvin C. Sisson Sr., Roanoke; the following grandchildren, Patrick Grubbs, Mike Grubbs, Pete Yates, Suzie Rader, Pam Yates, Paula Brown, John Douffas, Donna Douffas, Ruth Douffas, Clark Sisson Jr., Cara Sisson, Bill and Denise Sisson; a number of great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Garst, Rachel Ronk, both of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Willie Fitzgerald, Salem. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, August 27, 1993, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Dr. Bill Smithwick officiating.
