OBIT-WALL, VIRGINIA JOHNSTON

WALL, Virginia Johnston, 91, of Roanoke, formerly of Salem, died at her residence Thursday, August 26, 1993. She was a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, The Roanoke Retired City Teachers Association, Order of The Eastern Star, Salem Chapel #161; and a past member of the Thursday Morning Music Club. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jacquelyn and Roy Minnix, Vinton, Alice and Joseph Rushbrooke, Roanoke; six grandchildren, Melanie Minnix, Keith Minnix both of Roanoke, Gail Clark, Baltimore, Md., Robert Minnix, Richmond, Gary Rushbrooke, Roanoke, Christopher Rushbrooke, Portland, Maine; also four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel noon Saturday, August 28, 1993, with the Rev. Dr. Gregory L. Adkins officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Raleigh Court United Methodist Church.
