OBIT-MURPHY, MADELINE L.
MURPHY, Madeline L., 69, of Route 1, Wirtz, died Thursday, August 26, 1993
in a local hospital. Surviving are her husband, James S. Murphy; a son, Gary
L. LaPrade of Roanoke; five sisters, Pheobe S. Cole and Ruby S. Mullins, both
of Roanoke, Dollie S. Moore of Rocky Mount, Marybell S. Moore of Redwood,
Joyce S. Wray of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Samuel Howard St. Clair of
Cloverdale, John James St. Clair of Wirtz. Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Saturday from Lynch Chapel with Rev. Joe Dillon officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Friends may call at
Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount after 2 p.m. Friday where the family will be
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be
made to a charity of one's choice.
