PHOTO WINNERS

The winners in the Virginia Museum of Transportation's amateur photo contest have been announced. Winning in the steam engines and diesel categories is Robin Shavers of Richmond; in the passenger stations category is Al Wekelo of Richmond; and for the scenic locations category, John McAllister of Lynchburg.

The winning photographs of Virginia trains or Virginia train-related subjects are on display at the museum at 303 Norfolk Ave. in Roanoke.
