OBIT-BARKER, VIRGINIA B., (JACKIE)

BARKER, Virginia B., (Jackie), 69, of Marion, died Saturday, August 28, 1993 in Bristol Nursing Home, Bristol, Va. Mrs. Barker was a member of the Marion Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Benjamin G. Barker, Marion; one daughter, Judith B. Seaton, Piney Flats, Tenn.; two sons, Michael G. Barker, Abindgon, and D. Patrick Barker, Panama City, Fla. Other survivors include two brothers, Thomas E. Barnes Jr., Piney Flats, Tenn. and James B. Barnes, Bristol, Tenn.; three sisters, Nell Eastridge, Kingsport, Tenn., Susie Rambo, Hiltons, and Peggy Wright, Franklin; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday evening, August 30, 193 at the Marion Baptist Church from 7 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will follow visitation, with Dr. William A. Slater and Rev. Roby Eastridge officiating. Private entombment will be held Tuesday at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Baptist Church, 1258 N. Main St., Marion, Va. 24354. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
