OBIT FREEMAN, ROBERT ESTIL

FREEMAN, Robert Estil, 80, of Dublin, died Tuesday, August 31, 1993, at Highland Manor Nursing Home. He was born November 25, 1912, in Scott Co., Va., to the late John L. and Myrtle Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Radford, a life member and Past President of Radford Host Lions Club, a member of Kazim Temple in Roanoke, a member of Virginia May Lodge #38 A.F.&A.M., a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and a retired employee of Hercules in Radford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearle McCarty Freeman. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Julia) Prillaman, Roanoke; one son, John M. Freeman, Dublin; also three grandchildren, Jenny Prillaman, Darden Freeman, and Douglas Freeman. Funeral services will be held Thursday 2 p.m. from DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford. Memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Choir Fund.
