NAMES ON CAMPUS

Engineering Professor ROBERT M. JONES of Blacksburg has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

\ MARK B. VAUGHAN of Blacksburg has been awarded a college scholarship by the Reserve Officers Association of the United States.

Vaughan, a senior, is the son of Army Lt. Col. David Vaughan.

\ SCOTT M. SALOM has been promoted to assistant professor in the department of entomology.

Salom He will conduct research and teach forest entomology.

Brown, Edwards and Co. has awarded senior DONNA VADEN one of its accounting achievement awards.

Vaden is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and the daughter of Clarence and Darlene Vaden of Blacksburg.

\ WING NG, professor of mechanical engineering, has received the Flag Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Ng is also chairman of the ASME Aerospace Division, which has more than 15,000 engineer members.

\ WARREN L. STUTZMAN, electrical engineering professor, was guest editor of the June 1993 Proceedings of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Mechanical engineering Professor LARRY D. MITCHELL gave the keynote speech at the Japanese Modal Analysis Conference and one at the International Conference on Structural Dynamics Modeling in England.

\ CYNTHIA MASSIE, research associate at the Center for Gerontology, attended the National Institute on Aging's summer research institute, where results of the latest research in health and long-term care were presented.
