PLAQUE TO BE DEDICATED SEPT. 12

A plaque to commemorate the former Fred Wygal School, the city's last black elementary school which operated from 1943 until 1966, will be dedicated Sept. 12 at 2 p.m.

The building now houses the city's school administrative offices.

Former students or teachers who have memorabilia from their days at Fred Wygal School are asked to bring items to the ceremony for display.
