GARDZINA, Blanche V., 78, of 5528 Meadowcrest St., N.E., Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 1993. She was a member of Barnhardt Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Joseph T. Gardzina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Moorman Joyce and husband, Bobby Joyce Jr., Hazlehurst, Ga., Roberta T. Morrow and husband, Rodney Morrow, Taylors, S.C.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Tilley and wife, Gaynel, Mapleton, Maine, Burton Tilley and wife, Bette Lou, Washburn, Maine, David Tilley and wife, Gay, Mapleton, Maine, Herbert Tilley Jr. and wife, Bobbi, Vinton; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Frank Chandler, Fort Myers, Fla., Wally Chandler, Rocky Hill, Conn.; three sisters, Gladys Roberts, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Opal Caso, Cromwell, Conn., Glenna Ruest, Caribou, Maine. Funeral services will be conducted from the Barnhart Baptist Church, Stewartsville, 1 p.m. Friday, September 3, 1993, with the Rev. Terry A. Mabrey officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's Vinton Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
