BUCS' GAME A WASHOUT

After a delay of 1 hour, 45 minutes, the Carolina League baseball game between the Salem Buccaneers and Winston-Salem Spirits at Municipal Field was called Thursday night.

Umpires Scott Stabler and Ken Kobold decided the field was unplayable following a rain storm.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at 6 p.m. today. The Bucs (27-40 in the second half) complete their season at 7 p.m. Saturday with a single game against the Southern Division's second-half champions. - Staff report
