NRCC GIVEN GRANT FOR OUTREACH PROJECTS

New River Community College has received a $1,190 minigrant from the Virginia Campus Outreach Opportunity League (VA COOL). The money will help to continue funding of the school's "Garments and Garnishes," a food pantry and clothing closet for students and members of the community.

The grant is one of 11, totally $30,000, that VA COOL awarded in a competitive process. The nonprofit organization is based in Richmond.
